Summary
Paul’s life was a laundry list of struggles, and yet his explanation of these challenges is: it served to advance the the gospel. He reads everything through the lens of Jesus Christ crucified. This is not because he is denying the difficulty, but because the joy of being part of God’s mission to redeem His creation brings more joy than any temporary struggle can bear.
