GIVING | an ADVENT series
Christmas is sometimes referred to as: the season of giving. This is because this end-of-the-year time period is filled with high levels of donations to non-profits, gift giving, and a general uptick of yuletide cheer. Christmas giving did not originate as a pagan ceremony or from Saint Nicholas putting gifts into the shoes of the local children; Christmas giving was instituted by God Himself as He gave us the ultimate gift and called us to give in response. This Christmas we will look at the motivation behind giving as we look to how we can become better givers, both at Christmas and beyond.
