EPHESIANS
The book of Ephesians was written to the church in Ephesus encouraging them in their young faith. It is focused on helping the church to see that every part of their identity gains its meaning from being ‘in Christ.’ When Paul is making a theological statement, it is to root them in Christ. When he is giving them an imperative, it is to show them how being in Christ implores us to act. Everything flows from our position in Christ.
