In the Beginning
GENESIS
The Bible has a beginning, and like most beginnings, it helps set up the rest of the story. In the first 11 chapters of the Bible we are told about: the source of all things, why this world is broken, how God intends to fix it, and the role of human beings in His plan. It foreshadows the gospel and the final redemption. As we go through these verses, we will look at how God is preparing us to read the rest of His Word.
The Big Bang

The Image of God

As God gets to day six, He ends with this pinnac le of His creation. As He creates human beings, they are made in the ‘Image of God.’ What does it mean that we image God?
The Cultural Mandate

God gives a command to the man and woman that He has created, to: Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. This is God’s purpose for all the people whom He has made.
God Rested

God creates a rhythm to life on earth by resting on the seventh day. In this, He establishes a pattern of six days of work/one day of rest, setting this day aside for the purpose of enjoyment.
