THE HELPER | A SERMON SERIES ON THE HOLY SPIRIT
In the Gospel of John, we get a get a robust definition of the God’s character. Due to the fact that John is concerned with making the deity of Jesus known (20.30-31), he spends much of his time connecting Jesus to Father and Spirit. John 14-17 is full of Trinitarian language, giving specifics on how The Father, Son, and Spirit work together (as one) to accomplish the covenant of redemption. We will be using this section of Scripture to focus on the Holy Spirit and His role within the Godhead. We feel that the Spirit can only be understood in relation to the Father and Son and that by viewing Him through a unified lens helps make the Spirit less ethereal and mysterious. Our hope is that everyone comes away with a better sense of how the Holy Spirit interacts with us on a daily basis in our walk with God.
