Jesus Changes Everything

EASTER 2025

When God entered into His creation, in human form, nothing was going to be the same. It isn’t just that Jesus made a lasting impression, it is that the entire story up to that point had been written for His arrival. As we see Jesus enter into the final week of His life, He makes sure that His disciples are left with enough to see all of the connections. In His entry, death, and resurrection, Jesus both creates change, but also reveals how these changes were always part of the plan.

Palm Sunday | Jesus changes Leadership
As Jesus rides into Jerusalem, it is to declare Himself king. It is also to declare that He is a very different king than they expected. Throughout His life, but especially in the last week of His life, Jesus defines leadership as servanthood.

Good Friday | Jesus changes Passover
On Good Friday, we will be gathering together to partake in a Passover Seder. Through the elements of the Seder, we will see how God prepared His people for the coming of the Messiah. We will also look at how Jesus took these known elements and remade them.

Easter | Jesus changes Death
On Easter, we celebrate the resurrection. This is because when Jesus walks out of the grave, He is declaring that the resurrection of the dead is now the lens by which we view all of life. As He shares His victory with us, death is no longer the defining factor in our life.
