THE OTHERS | side stories in the CHRISTMAS narrative

We have heard the Christmas story many times. Those who grow up in the church get used to hearing about the baby born in the manger and the angels filling the skies with a song of celebration. Along with the main storyline, the Bible gives us numerous side stories. These include: the story of a barren woman giving birth, a few aged saints getting to meet the Savior before death, a noble man caught in a difficult situation, honor being bestowed upon the outcasts of society, and a power struggle between kings

For ADVENT this year, we will spend some time focusing on the other stories that fill out the coming of the Messiah, not to take away from the focus, but to see how all of these stories help us to better understand the birth of the Messiah.
