Our Communion 101 Class is an opportunity to meet our pastors, ask questions and learn about Communion Church. This class is also prerequisite for church membership. Join us for four Sundays this fall, October 18 — November 8, meeting after 2nd service in the Fireside Room of the Sunday School Building. Email Pastor Jim to sign up or for more info.

DATE/TIME — Saturday Oct 24 9a-noon-ish

Help out with our next Churchyard Work party (or other work needed too) on Saturday October 24. The plan is to work together from roughly 9:00a-noon. Bring yard maintenance tools, gloves, and weather-appropriate clothing. Trucks or trailers to haul things helpful. Talk to Jason or Kim Griffith for more info. Kids are welcome!

It’s that time again! Fall is here and we are celebrating as only we in the PNW can … with a Pumpkin Spice themed potluck! Now, don’t get hung up on the ‘pumpkin’ or the ‘spice’. This is meant to be fun. So break out your best cozy, warm, fall-themed dish and come share a meal together.

POTLUCK TIPS & HELPS
In order for us all to have enough to share, plan the size of your dish to be at least the size of what might feed your family. This may mean you could sign up to bring more than one thing.

We always need set-up and clean-up helpers — any and all help is welcome! Just show up.

And of course, allergies — so many varied ones in our church family, so labels are always appreciated! Our one main allergy ask is no peanuts please.

DATE/TIME — Thursdays Oct 29 – Nov 19 at 6:30-8p

This fall join the men in a 4-week video based study — Can I Trust the Bible? This series, from Apologetics Canada, will go over everything from where we get the books of the Bible, why they were chosen and why others aren’t. If you have ever wondered about where your Bible comes from, or if you know someone who doesn’t believe it’s true, this study is for you!

There will be no homework; just show up and learn something new. After each video we will go over key terms and discuss the topic as a group.

Meeting Thursdays 6:30-8p at church from October 29 thru November 19. All ages welcome. Snacks provided each week. Our Men’s Friday Morning meetings will be on hold during this study.

DATE/TIME — Saturday Nov 14 at 9a

Join the men of Communion Church for a time of food and fellowship. We will meet in the church basement on Saturday November 14 at 9a. Young men of all ages are also welcome! Please bring a fully-cooked-at-home-please ready-to-serve breakfast side dish to share.

The Women of Communion Church are going through a 6-week study of The Sermon on the Mount — Matthew 5-7, using John Stott’s study guide and our Bibles to dig into these challenging and beautiful teachings of Jesus.

Regular monthly Bible Discussion meetings will be on hold in September and October, during this study.
