Let Justice Roll
AMOS
During the reign of King Jeroboam II, the Northern Kingdom of Israel became quite affluent. They got lost in their wealth. Not only did they trust in their possessions over God, but they used their success to turn away from their care for the poor and their service to those who were struggling. They turned from God to worship idols. Rather than seeing what they had as a gift from God to steward, they began to see this life as their own, to do as they see fit. As God judges His people, He reveals His impartiality toward sin. God is not on anyone’s side, but is FOR justice and good and AGAINST any and all wrong.
