Summary
We play all sorts of games to feel better about who we are. One of the things we do is compare our strength to other people’s weaknesses. In this, we get to decide what is compared and we can always come out on top. We also create division and allow ourselves to distort God’s Word. We invest in this protective measure and it leads us away from God. Paul calls the Corinthian church to stop boasting in themselves and to boast in the Lord, making Him the centerpiece of who we understand ourselves to be. With this, we are united to others and built up in His truth.
