Summary
Jesus came into a world that had many issues. He came to a people who were oppressed in their own land (the land that God had promised to them). It made sense that they would imagine a Savior who would come to make their lives immediately better. It makes sense that they would want temporary solutions to their struggles. But Jesus came to do much more; He came to free people from the world. He came into the world to take away its power.
