Summary
Paul focuses the Philippians on the simple yet life-tilting concept of contentment. Contentment is the promise that in Jesus, you have been given everything you need. While life is a set of unknowns, the big questions: who am I? what is the purpose of life? what does my eternal future hold? These things have all been gifted to us in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Having these things taken care of allows us to find joy in the ups and downs of this life.
