“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” Eph. 4:11-12
In Ephesians 4:11-12, Paul explains that church leaders are called to equip the saints for ministry, so that the church may be built up. What implications does this have for how we organize Communion Church? How is the church equipped for ministry? Where does one-another ministry happen? The pastors of Communion Church want to be purposeful in organizing our rhythms and gatherings, with the goal of seeing a church body discipled into greater and greater maturity. At the same time, we recognize Christ as our head, from whom all growth ultimately stems, and to whom all glory goes for his work among us.
