Summary
As Jesus prays to the Father, we are confronted by the complexity of His nature. The Son speaks to the Father about the completion of His plan we get an idea of how His complex nature relates to His creation. The High Priestly Prayer, as this prayer is referred to, lets us see into the conversation of God, giving us both a better idea of who He is, and a clearer picture of ourselves.
