Summary
When all of the pessimism is laid aside, Ecclesiastes is a book about God. With all of the talk about our lives, our decisions, and our legacy, it is all meaningless apart from relationship with God. The pundit makes it clear to us that this life is not simply a cause and effect reality for us to control or an experience to grab hold of, instead we live in a miraculous world created and upheld by a living God. This life isn’t about finding our way in this world, as much as it is not getting lost in the chaos. As we experience a host of unknowns each and every day, we can approach them as adventures rather than overwhelming variables. We can live a life of worship.
